Credit Requirements:
Course work must be in the line or lines for which license
is held. Life, Health, and Accident: 12 hours annually.
Property and Casualty: 12 hours annually. Combined L/H and
P/C licensees must complete a minimum of 12 hours in their
primary line of insurance. Licensees are encouraged to
complete 12 hours in their secondary line. Primary line of
insurance must be determined by licensee and reported on
renewal application.
Qualifying Courses:
All courses must be license-related courses. Independent
self-study courses or classroom are allowed. Courses of less
than 2 hours will not be approved for continuing education
hours. No credit will be given for taking the same course
more than one time in any three year period. Agents will
receive credit hours for courses only if the course is taken
during the year in which the credit is to be used.
Monitor Requirements
Monitor required for Online and Correspondence self study courses. Upon completion of an exam, the required monitor affidavit, if needed, must be faxed immediately to The CE Depot at (770) 509-8950. Failure to submit affidavit at completion of exam will delay course credits being processed and could result in loss of credit. Download
Carryover Credit:
Carryover of excess CE credit hours is not allowed.
Reporting Compliance:
December 31 annually for L/A&H agents, May 31 annually for
P/C agents, and May 31 annually for Adjusters.
Non-Resident License:
Non-resident agents are exempt if their home state requires
continuing education. The non-resident agent must submit a
letter of certification with the renewal application. If the
non-resident agent’s home state has no continuing education
requirement, that nonresident agent must comply with
Mississippi’s continuing education requirement.
Compliance Dates:
Credit hours must be completed by December 31 annually for
Life/Health.

All Mississippi licensed resident insurance producers who sell federal flood insurance policies shall be required to complete a one time 3 hour requirement on flood insurance.

You will be able to print your certificate of completion online once you have completed your exam. Certificates of completion must be submitted with renewal form for P/C and LAH license renewal. Producers must keep copies of certificates for at least 5 years
